Rocking The Hair Trend: The Curly Ponytail

Picture from: http://www.thirstyroots.com/ Here's a picture of Mrs.Alicia Keys rocking the hair trend. The curly ponytail trend has been going on for some while now. This is a perfect hairstyle for the summer or if you just want to get you hair outta your face. To achieve this look, comb your hair back. Slick some hair polish on your hair and pull hair back in a ponytail using a hair bow. Don't use a rubber band because rubber bands break off hair.Attach the curly hair ponytail, make sure it is secure, and you're set to go!

Hair Tip of the Day!

No Pressing Combs!!! Tools should never be used on already relaxed chemically processed hair. They were never intended for relaxed hair. They were only made for unprocessed natural black hair. Instead, use a flat iron because the heat is not as intense. Also, remember to add a protective hair spray to your hair because adding heat to your hair when it is dry, leads to more breakage. Remember, black hair cannot retain length if hair keeps breaking. But if you choose to use a pressing comb, make sure you use the one with a attachable plug, not the one you have to put on the stove. But my advice is that you don't use a pressing comb on relaxed hair.

Hey y'all. Today I was searching the internet to see if there were any ways to achieve straight smooth manageable hair without the use of hair relaxers. I came across this website http://janellebeauty.com/shop/ On the website it advertises on Janelle Beauty Diva Smooth Kit. It contains The Diva Smooth, Virgin Coconut Hair serum, Rosemary  Mint hair shampoo and conditioner. Hair Tip of The Day!

MOISTURIZE! MOISTURIZE! MOISTURIZE! Black hair is the driest of all races. When our hair is dry, this leads to hair breakage causing our hair to never keep length. One way to stop hair breakage and remain hair on your head is to moisturize your hair daily. The best moisturizers to use are water based moisturizers. A lot of people say "I do moisturize my hair daily but it still breaks and becomes more dry. Well, that's because you are using the wrong moisturizer that contain ingredients that makes our hair more dry. When buying a moisturizer make sure it doesn't contain alcohol, mineral oil, petroleum, any forms of protein, and sulfate. These products dries out our hair more and strips out our hair moisture. So products like Blue Magic hair grease is not good to use. When moisturizing your hair, make sure you moisturize evenly through out your entire head to have your hair fully moisturized. Oh and ladies, NEVER moisturize your scalp. Our scalp is never dry and already has it's on natural oils so when you moisturize your scalp, your just clogging it. When your scalp is clogged, this prevents your hair from growing. ONlY moisturize your hair. So, the next time you go shopping for a hair moisturizer, make sure it doesn't contain any of the harsh ingredients I listed. I know looking for a good moisturizer will be hard now, but trust me once you find it, you will be doing your hair a big favor!

Hair Tip of the Day!

Black hair needs to be washed every 3 days to a week. But no more than a week. That is a myth that black hair needs to washed every 2 weeks. Washing your hair frequently does not strip out natural oils from our hair and too much water does not strip moisture from our hair.Water is moisture. We need to have moisture to our hair which is the reason why we need to wash our hair every 3 days to a week. If you are always busy through the week and don't have the time to wash your hair every 3 days, then make sure you wash your hair every 7 days but no more than a week. But if you have the time, especially if you exercise a lot, you should wash your hair every 3 days. So, remember that myth about we shouldn't wash our hair a lot is untrue and washing our hair frequently is fact.
